Its been a while

Sorry its been so long since my last post but the reason is a great one :) My parents have been here visiting! Room was tight and my Hubby and I slept in my dollshouse room . Before they came I got a new toy .....a proton mini lathe ....and I waited til my Dad arrived to play with it . He showed me how it works and what I can do with it :) Thanks Dad! In the process he made me a table and some table legs for a piece of sassafras that I bought and it will become a table :) must shape the top round the corners to make it oval then route around the edge lol another thing I havent played with yet my router. They left on monday after 3 great weeks , I miss them but Im now getting back into miniing so thats good . My Dad is hooked now too :) he has great plans ....hopefully I will be able to share the results with you sometime. Today was my first real play with the mini lathe :) what fun lol made piles of sawdust and learnt a lot ....here are the things dad made and my experiments today :)
